About Us
The Northwinds Resort & Bar came to be one day after fish were invented (A really long time ago). After several owners 1 or 2 fires and many other notable events along came Clare & Scott, we purchased the resort Feb. 15th 2007.
Also in the family Big Al (English bull dog) and Earl ( black lab/golden retriever), we all strive to ensure that you have a good time every time, weather you stay in one of our three cabins or you stop into the bar for a cold one or maybe come for one of our signature events like....

Whatever brings you here we are glad you chose the Northwinds Resort & Bar Enjoy!!! All cabins come with all necessary House keeping utensils, also a microwave, coffee maker and full kitchen, TV (local channels). We also have boats & motors available just ask, in addition to that we have access to canoes, paddle boat and kayaks and a PRIVATE boat launch & docks and just in case you have a work a bit, yes we have YiFi ( wireless Internet access).
Campers we recently added a new shower house and more H20 & eclectic outlets.
Motorcycle enthusiast if you want to pack light that's OK because we have tents, cots, air mattresses, linens & sleeping bags.

By the way about the lake. We sit right on rice lake with access to Lake Benoit and the Yellow River, Rice Lake is an excellent fishing lake (about 12 ft. deep). Benoit is also good fishing and has excellent beaches for swimming and (its just across the road) something here for everyone. Rice Lake is one of the very best Ice Fishing lakes anywhere so its fortunate that we are open year round, and yes we do have an ice fishing house for you to use!!

One last thing we are the only fly in bar on Rice Lake (float planes only please during summer months)
